No worries! I'm a seasoned Mac developer (even worked at Apple for 4
years). I'm newer to Cocoa, and very new to Core Audio. Core Audio
seemed like a given, because I didn't want to deal with the myriad
APIs for getting at audio data. I just wanted to make sure I
understood the role of AUs well enough to know if I should pursue
learning how to make such a display with them.
It's part of a bigger app to process PSK-encoded digital data.
Thanks! I think I'll take my chances with the AU.
