Hi all,

apparently iMovie 6 is using some (but not all) of the built-in MacOS X Audio Unit plug ins for its Audio FX tab under "Editing". Are these AUs hard coded into the application or are there some magic incantations that one can perform in order to make a particular AU visible to iMovie 6? Putting them in ~/Library/iMovie/ Plug-Ins seems to have no effect.

Please note that I'm not interested in iMovie 7 at this point - our clients are almost exclusively on version 6.x

Thanks!
Stephan

The usual place for AU plug-ins is ~/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/ Components. I don't use iMovie, but any AU plug-ins there load into Final Cut Pro. I must admit, I can't see any Apple plug-ins there, so perhaps they are coded into Core Audio.
