You need to be more specific.
SMPTE stands for Society of Motion Picture and Television Engineers.
They have published hundreds of standards.
I suspect you are talking about SMPTE timecode, but do you mean
parsing Midi Time Code or do you mean parsing sampled SMPTE LTC
(Linear TimeCode), or parsing sampled SMPTE VITC (Vertical Interval
TimeCode), or parsing SMPTE timecode that is embedded in a digital
video stream (there are several standards for that, too).
If you are looking to parse sampled LTC, I have code I am willing to license.
Has anyone come across any SMPTE parsing algorithms? I've read some
information on how the SMPTE standard is setup, but I'd like to see some
other work that may have been done on this topic as a starting point.
