I haven't, but there are definitely apps that do it. I've never used the speech APIs, but I just skimmed through NSSpeechSynthesizer.h and found the constant "NSSpeechOutputToFileURLProperty", which seems pretty self-explanatory. Did you try using that?
No I haven't. Altho I was aware that output to file was possible, I was hoping for live audio.
