Core Audio by default provides data to and from the client as
32 bit floats

So does that mean in the example DefaultOutputUnit setting kAudioUnitProperty_StreamFormat is unnecessary if I want 2 channel floating point?

I found a bug in DefaultOutputUnit in RenderSin.cpp. When it is kAsFloat, kAudioFormatFlagIsNonInterleaved is not being set (it sounds weird). I also get silence for kAs24Bit. I have XCode 2.5 and OS X 10.4.9.

thanks
Jeff
