Bernd sent me the project in a direct mail, I had a look at it and could reproduce the issue.
It seems that there is a bug in CoreGraphics when moving windows of a certain size - the window size is determined by boh the AU view's size and by the size of the elements that the hosts add around it, explaining why the bug did strike only for certain plug-in/host combinations. The bug is reproducable with two empty windows in Interface builder, and we're tracking it with ID 5690266.
For now the workaround would be to make the view a few pixels larger. Note that some of our own plug-ins suffer from that as well, e.g. AVerb.

Best,
Stefan

Hi Bernd,

this error does not sound familiar. Is there a way for me to do download your modified example to try myself?

Thanks,
Stefan

I have build an AU from the XCode Template "Audio Unit Effect with Carbon View" with XCode 3 under 10.5.2.

Although I did not change the code ( only COMP_SUBTYPE and COMP_MANF ) I get strange window errors when I use the PlugIn in Logic 8.0.1. After a while using my PlugIn, all PlugIn windows start to get draw-errors, when they are moved and Logic puts this message to the console : Logic Pro[132] _NXMoveWindow: error moving window (-308)

In Logic 7, everything works fine.

As I am new to Carbon Views, I do not have an idea what causes this.

Is there something new in Logic 8, so I do have to modifie the template code ?

Thanks

Bernd
