AppleLoops metadata

I'm trying to find the binary spec for how the metadata included in AppleLoops is encoded in wav/aif chunks.
I'd like to be able to parse this data for use in my apps.
Couldn't find it in the caf spec, wondering if it's open or not.
If anyone knows, can you point me to it?
