Hello,
I've been lurking on this list for a few weeks now getting a lay of the land, and it seems as though I've found the right place. I've read the rules and guidelines for posting and this post seems to be well within the guidelines, but if it isn't I apologize in advance and will refrain from doing so in the future.
I've formed a partnership with one of the leading high end recording equipment distributors with the goal of developing our own line of hardware and software tools for audio engineers. On the hardware side I'm able to create the circuits myself, but on the software side I'm out of my depth.
So we're looking for a coder to bring my ideas to fruition in audiounit format; the goal is to create tools that are at once familiar but at the same time combine various functionalities that don't usually co-exist in the same plugin, and to incorporate them into a ui that allows for a tremendous range of creative options while being simple enough to learn very quickly and intuitively, no manual needed. We consider the UI to be a separate job, but if you feel capable of doing that too we should definitely look at that possibility.
This will be a paid job with a relatively standard contract for this work, an NDO, and full release of code upon final payment; we have another company that has a plug about to be released by UA for the UAD platform so we have some experience with the process.
What we are looking for is a reliable person with a great ear for quality sonics, the ability to translate ideas to reality. We also need someone who is responsible and professional, as well as easygoing --- we work hard but we also bust balls and love to have a good time.
You do not need to have any particular experience as a hired gun, in fact a left-of-center rogue might be exactly what's required here. But we do need to hear some examples of what you've created so we can see where you're coming from in terms of your sonic aesthetic.
Please send all responses to
email@hidden. I look forward to hearing from you!
Gregory Scott
