Well, then I guess it would be time to move on to Cocoa for your user interface, as per Apple's recommendation. That way you wouldn't have to deal with Carbon API worries anymore.

This problem of Apple changing the AudioUnit base classes is in no way limited to the user interface code, so moving to Cocoa would not help there.


These are *not* Carbon API worries, but AudioUnit class library (AUPublic) worries.

Cocoa is not the answer to every problem :-P
