It could be that there is a bug here in AULab (so we should have a
look at that).
I'm generally setting the vector size env variable when I run
libgmalloc, just to be sure

might lie elsewhere, so I loaded the AUPinkNoise sample AU into AU
Lab with Guard Malloc enabled and it crashed in the exact same
location. This is running on 10.5.2. I thought that Guard Malloc
and vector routines were now friends on Leopard. Are there some
other caveats to Guard Malloc that I'm not aware of? If not then
I'll file a bug report.
