Thank you for responding.
Yes I have tried that and it does not affect anything. I tried adding
recalculateKeyViewLoop both before and after I call
makeKeyAndOrderFront. The only thing that seems to work is to switch
to another app and then back.
Can someone give me another suggestion or idea please?

have you tried to call recalculateKeyViewLoop on your NSWindow after
adding the plug-in ?
