Hi
I have a piece of code that is using audio queues to record and playback audio on the iPhone.
In order to be able to record and playback at the same time, I work in an audio session with the category set to "kAudioSessionCategory_PlayAndRecord". The audio session is initialized and activated before creating and starting the audio queues.
Everything works pretty well. However, under conditions that I was not able to reproduce, the recorded audio after a fresh boot is sometimes heard back through the receiver output ("The speaker you hold to your ear when on a phone call") . The audio that echoes back is played at approximately double frequency, and it sounds as it is chopped at regular intervals.
Can some of the core audio engineers at apple tell me what may cause this, so that I may try to isolate the issue or even fix it?
Has anybody else experienced something similar?
Thanks in advance for your replies
