Interesting. How is it done then? Obviously Tascam, Maudio and other companies have made them. Also Logic controller plugins work for Garage band also, you can copy them (for instance, tascam fw-1884) out of your logic.app into garage band .app.

There is no API to develop a plugin to support a custom controller in Logic.
