As of 2.1, the ExtAudiofile api AND the Audioconverter services are working. I've used 'em.

Cheers

Subject: iPhone audio decompression

Hi all,

I am writing an iPhone application and would like my internal audio to be stored as mp3 or aac files. I currently perform playback using the AudioQueueServices, but I need access to the uncompressed audio to perform filtering on it. As the ExtAudioFile and AudioConverter api's are not present on the iphone is there another way to decompress the audio and/or make use of the decompression hardware that is present in the iPhone.

Many thanks in advance
Luke
