HandleProgramChange and MSB, LSB values

I have created an AudioUnit based on AUMonotimbralInstrumentBase. I want it to respond to program changes. So I implemented the HandleProgramChange function. But this function only handles the soundnumber, and not MSB and LSB values for bank selection. Does anyone now how I can implement an event handler which also gives me the MSB and LSB values?
