auval is distributed as part of the OS, so if we were to update it, it
would be updated in a software update.
From what I can see, Leopard should have 1.2.1b3
We have never shipped a 1.5.3 version of auval, so I have no idea what
that is
As for the different versions of auval - I think you are accusing us
of something we don't do - at least that we don't do that I am aware
of. We have a seeding program for developers for pre-release versions
of auval. These versions are explicitly not for redistribution and are
given to developers to test compatability before we release an update.
So, I'm not sure what to say about this

Hmm... so if it's delivered via Software Update, how come he can have
an old version in the first place? He is on the same Leopard revision
as we are (10.5.4) and the version of auval I have (1.2.1b3) validates
our plug in just fine... very strange.
So if mine is 1.2.1b3, where can I get 1.5.2 (which is what you meant
to say is the current version I suppose??)
Thanks

Anyone??

Ok so my question would be: is auval part of the Pro Application
updates? Or what part of the OS does it come with? Is it indeed part
of the dev tools? If so, how are regular users supposed to have the
latest version if they don't install the dev tools?
Differences between auval versions really make AudioUnits difficult
to
debug, since the results are inconsistent across machines with the
same OS...
