[OT] How to update my software on Apple's "Download Submissions" page?

Does anyone know why it's so hard to get the Apple Developer Connection to update developer's software on the "Download Submissions" page, http://www.apple.com/downloads/macosx/submit/ ?

In the past, the http://www.apple.com/downloads/ site generated a small but significant part of my web traffic. It used to be that I could click the "Edit/Resubmit" button every 6 months or so, and then my software would go to the top of the appropriate page (Audio, etc.) for a couple weeks and gradually fade into the background.

But for the past year or so, it seems like the "Edit/Resubmit" button doesn't do anything except change the expiration date, even though some of my software has been selected as "Staff Picks". When I submitted a new product (SFX Machine Pro for RTAS), it showed up on the "Download Submissions" page, but it doesn't actually show up when someone searches for downloads.

When I call ADC, no one knows, and if I use the e-mail form, I either get a form letter reply or no response. I wish Apple would just tell me what hoops I need to jump through -- do I need a certain class of paid membership, etc.? Am I on their sh*t list?

I realize it's probably been years since anyone bought a Mac because of my software, though it has happened. But if Apple doesn't want to post my software updates, they should just come out and tell me instead of acting like the Download Submissions page actually does something. If I needed a reminder not to bother making an iPhone app and gambling that Apple would include it in the app store, this pretty much does it.
