Hello,
we recently released Eloquence, a MIDI step sequencer plugin.
In order to provide a solution for Logic, we implemented both, the native AU
Midicallback functionality and a workaround via IAC.
Unfortunatly we couldn't test the Midicallback implementation, since there
is no Host out there supporting it. (remember Chicken-Egg problem)
So now there is a chicken ;)
The implementaion is based on the Core Audio SimSynthwithMidi example.
The IAC workaround does work ok in logic.
The timing in realtime has some small errors, i am not sure whether this is
natural by design (audio latency?) or if there is a way to make it more
precise.
Any advice is appreciated.
When recording the MIDI output in a track (or bouncing the song) in logic
there is an additional negativ(!) delay of about 150ms.
I have no idea why this happens, i would be glad if somebody has an advice.
(Maybe some setting in logic i didn't found?)
You can get a demo version of Eloquence here:

Best,
Robert
