iPhone/iPod and bluetooth mic for a VoIP app

HI;
I have a VoIP application on the app store.
Several users have been testing the app with a bluetooth device and they report it doesn't work

Do I have to do something special in my App to access the bluetooth mic ?
Is the bluetooth mic recognized as a normal mic?
I remember the WWDC08/09 Audio presentation and they always mention the bluetooth as another audio device.

I'm testing it myself and with an iPod touch 3.0 the sound is routed to the bluetooth speaker but the mic doesnt work.

Thanks
