as of 10.6, there is support for USB audio class 2.0 compliant devices.
However, I expect 10.5 to be around for quite a while as it is the last
OS which supports PPC, and 10.5 doesn't support that - right?

Hence, for planning new audio devices, it would be helpful to know
whether Apple has any ambitions to support that class model as an update
to 10.5.

Any plans?

Thanks,
Daniel
Daniel,

Actually Class 2 was available in 10.5.x, we have a few USB DACS and ADCS working with Class 2 HS up to 32/192 and will have somethings released in the next month.

Of course Windows is an issue since it is stuck in Class 1 and not moving from my communications with them.

Thanks
