Yes I can confirm that it's specifically a WAV format bug.
Last time I tried writing an AIFF file > 2 GB ExtAudioFile crashed, so
maybe it would be a good idea to check this code, too while you're at
it. We catch this case in our app, so we don't run into this scenario.
Again thank you very much for all your help, it is very much
appreciated! I can live with the workaround for now, as it is "clean"
(meaning there really is no other case where the workaround would
cause a wrong number) so this has indeed been very helpful.
