can't seem to get kAudioFileStreamProperty_BitRate

  • Subject: can't seem to get kAudioFileStreamProperty_BitRate

Hello, all ...

I'm finding that for many streams, the only propertyID I am sent in my property listener proc is kAudioFileStreamProperty_DataFormat. For other streams, i'll get the kAudioFileStreamPropertyBitrate and other IDs. I don't why I don't get the other properties IDs for some streams. Can anyone explain it to me? The bitrate / byte count / packet count information would be quite nice to have, but I just don't get it (pun intended).

Regards,

John
