AU processor load Take 2

After having worked through an approach to determining the processor load for a render chain, I am left with a new problem: How to let the user know how that load factors into the over all available processor(s) time. What is needed (I think) is some measure of the processor time (by percentage) the scheduler is allocating to realtime threads of equal or greater priority to the coreaudio render threads. Is there any API for doing that? Am I on the right track for this?
