AU automation

  • Subject: AU automation

Hello,

I'm workin on an Audio Unit which is strangely refusing to automate
parameters in DP6. These parameters are not set with
kAudioUnitParameterFlag_NonRealTime, and automate just fine in Logic.
The AU uses a cocoa view, and I'm handling the notifications exactly
like in the Cocoa view example project. No matter what we do, however,
DP6 will not automate the AU's parameters. The parameters work while
being recorded, that is, their effect can be heard, but no automation
curve is generated, and nothing can be seen when playing back the
project.

Strangely enough, it works on one macbook, but not on every single
other machine tried.

This very much sounds like a bug in DP6 more than anything, but before
I turn that way I'm wondering if I'm perhaps overlooking something in
the AU code?

Regards,
-Colin L Martel
