Hi All,
We have a weird one here:
We purchased some XServe's without RAID cards, installed our MOTU PCIe audio cards, everything worked dandy. (The PCIe cards connect via AudioWire to a MOTU 24IO - a 24-port analog I/O mixer.)
We just took the same XServe's and added the recently released RAID cards to them, and now we can no longer configure our MOTU cards...
The method we used was to use the Audio MIDI Setup tool, choose properties for our MOTU card, then click on the "Configure Device" button.
Before, the MOTU PCI Setup app would appear and we could configure the number of channels, etc.
Now, after clicking the "Configure Device" button, we get the following error dialog:
MOTU Audio
An OSErr has occurred. 2003332927 - ?ohw
File les/AWConsoleX/AWCoO, line 79
Also, clicking directly on the vendor's setup app generates the same error.
The reason that I am asking on this list (and yes - I've already taken this up with the vendor,) is that the only before-vs-after difference is the installation of the Apple RAID card in the XServe.
Questions:
- Can anyone shed light on what this "?ohw" error possibly means in this context?
- Has anyone heard of any interaction problems between the new RAID card and other audio devices in the system?
Our config:
- Apple XServe, 2.66GHz Quad Core Intel Xeon, 3GB 1066MHz RAM
- Mac OS X 10.5.7, all latest patches applied
- MOTU PCIe 424 card
Any clues or pointers would be most appreciated...
Thanks,
Bob
