Thanks for the response.
You are using the correct way of enumerating sources.
Are you certain that the other apps are creating virtual sources and not
virtual destinations?
I am not certain but since these other apps send MIDI I assume they act as
sources. Also my users are reporting that they can route MIDI from these
other apps to mine using the IAC routing mechanism, it's just that they dont
show up directly as sources in my app.
Now that I know that I'm on the right track at least I'll do some more
tests.
If an app creates a virtual source, then it calls MIDIReceived for that
source, and it appears as input to apps that have connected to that
source.
So from what you say, there is no logical difference between a hardware MIDI
device driver and another app which sends MIDI?
