I tried to add a cocoa view to a plug-in (copied the new code from the au cocoa view template), but AULab will not show it... I can switch between the generic view and the carbon view.
GetProperty(...) is returning the cocoaview properly, when called with kAudioUnitProperty_CocoaUI.
so I presume auval is saying that its idea of your cocoa ui is correct: something like this:
% auval -v aumu dls appl ... -------------------------------------------------- VERIFYING SPECIAL PROPERTIES:
VERIFYING CUSTOM UI Carbon View Components Available: 1 auvw dlsv appl - AUDLS View PASS
Cocoa Views Available: 1 DLSMusicDeviceViewFactory PASS ...

Usually for me, if auval finds it, then it opens fine in AULab
