Hi Angela
On this iPod touch model the speaker doesn't have a dedicated codec output. Instead, it's tapped off of the headphone output. So having the speaker enabled requires that headphones be enabled as well.

Hi!
Is this really the behavior in iPod Touch? In iPhone, when headset is used and enabled the Speaker (a functionality in my application), no sound comes out in the headset, the sound goes through the speaker. This is the expected behavior.
In iPod Touch, when headset is used and enabled the Speaker, sound still comes out in the headset and also sound comes out in the Speaker. Is this really the iPod Touch's behavior? Or how do I make it the same behavior as iPhone?
Thank you in advance.
Regards, Angie
