So if I cancel B's voice, which I am playing on A's speaker, from the input of A's microphone, I should be fine, right?

If you cancel the echo perfectly, B will be fine, and if B cancels the
echo perfectly, you will be fine.

But if B doesn't cancel the echo perfectly, you will hear your voice
as a round-trip echo. Users won't understand that this is B's fault,
and they'll blame you. So to keep your users happy, you need to cancel
the round-trip echo.
