Thanks William,

I've used something similar in PD, this should work fine. If a seperate applcation is sending this data, would it be possible for the audio unit to open it automatically in Mac OS? (when the AU is opened)

If not, I'll probably make it poll the AU so that it can notify the user if the application is not open.
