I don't have the complete list of bugs that have been fixed since we
introduced the aggregate device feature. There have been plenty though
over the three or four years it's been since then.
Probably the biggest caveat is that we introduced the aggregate device
support in, I think, 10.3.6. So any 10.3 user needs to be using at
least that version or later for the feature to even exist.

First off, make sure you are running on 10.5.7. There were a number
of
fixes to the aggregate device support in that release - several of
which addressed issues with creation and editing.
