Dragging audio files to Garageband

I am trying to implement the following: drag-and-drop from an audio application of an AIFF file to
Garageband. The AIFF file doesn't yet exist when the drag operation is started by the user.

I tried the Drag Manager with flavorTypePromiseHFS. The Finder accepts it, but Garagaband doesn't
respond to the drag. Where can I get information about what technologies and what data types
Garageband accepts for dropped audio files (or audio data) ? I hope there is an alternative to
using Cocoa for the purpose.
