What is your goal? If you only need to load these AUs yourself, then I don't think you need to register them. You should be able to load an AU from a path that you calculate. You only need to register these AUs if you want the host to find them and be able to use them by themselves. At least that's my understanding of the Component Manager's relation to AudioUnits.
