| The problem with the demo is the extension of the MultitapDelayAU view library. To make the demo work, select the MultitapDelayAU target, and remove the Executable Extension under Packaging. Instead of "dylib", this field should be empty.

Michael Hi All, In Xcode 3.1.3 using the 10.5 SDK, when I build the Apple example MultitapDelayAU in /Developer/Examples/CoreAudio/AudioUnits/MultitapDelayAU and then run it under either Logic 8 (Logic Pro) or Digital Performer 6.02 under OSX 10.5.8 and bring up the CarbonView GUI there is just a black semi-transparent box the size of the intended GUI but the GUI itself does not appear. If I select the non CarbonView automatically generated GUI then that does appear. I have discovered this because I am having the same problem with my own user interface for Synful Orchestra. Note that this user interface and code has worked correctly for a number of years and does not have a problem under OSX 10.5.8 with Logic 8 or DP 6.02 when built using previous versions (2.x) of Xcode and using the 10.4 SDK.
