Nick,

Have a look at the PlaySequence project (/Developer/Examples/CoreAudio/ SimpleSDK on Leopard), it demonstrates rendering to a file.

A year ago, I remember reading about an Apple API for writing MIDI
files with an option to render as audio. I can't quite find this
anywhere now. Did such thing exist?

If not, how should I go about implementing this if I'm currently using
the DLS Synth to play back MIDI files.

Any info would be appreciated.

Thanks,
