missing AU on snow leopard

thanks for your explicit reply.

I tried your way on my mac.

when I typed auval -a, I found my plugin listed there as aufx Pass
Otca: - DanceMats

then I typed auval - v aufx Pass Otca, it failed to pass the whole
validation process and stops during the render test and showing as
below:

Render Test at 4096 frames, sample rate: 48000 Hz
/usr/bin/auval: line 11:  1427 Segmentation fault      arch -i386 -ppc
/usr/bin/auvaltool "$@"

I don't quite know what cause this.

 However, even without proper validation, Garageband stills could pick
up the plugin and is able to use on my laptop and other Mac. Do you
think the failure of part of validation process might cause the
missing of plug-in on some machines?
