Distorted playback with AudioUnit on iPhone

  • Subject: Distorted playback with AudioUnit on iPhone

I'm using AudioUnit on the iPhone to iterate through an audiofile buffer and play audio. Everything was working fine when I was using a prewritten class to read the WAV-files (WavFile.h/cpp by Soundtouch), but now I want to be able to read compressed audio files, and I've sort of got it working, but the sound is very distorted and I can't figure out why.

The part that reads the audio file looks like this:

Is anyone able to pinpoint what the problem might be? I can hear the music but it just sounds awfully distorted.

Kind regards,
Martin
