Another potential issue is that the email@hidden folks are telling me the following:

"The ability of an iPad to function as a USB Host when communicating with non-Apple branded devices (such as the Apple camera connector, etc.) is limited to devices which are part of the "Made for iPod/Made for iPhone/Made for iPad" licensing program."

Does this mean that Wavelength Audio has to join the licensing program before developing any iPod support into USB Audio devices? My original question may have confused things between the 30-pin connector versus hub-based connections, but I only wrote them out of initial curiosity.

the test set up is incorrect.

You will need to have the camera connection kit - the existing iPad Dock Cable will not work for this

at the moment we only support 16bit (and the device needs to be in that mode before it is connected). We are planning on supporting 24bit in the future. Sample rate is an interesting issue.. up to 48kHz is already supported cleanly. If you want more than that, you should file a feature request (bug report).

Ok is there any special thing I need to get this started? I have a couple of Class 1 devices here that I made up as well as a little Griffin iMic device. All of these are 16 Full Speed only Class 1 standard Asynchronous except for the iMic which is standard Adaptive. But really I am not seeing any USB Activity on my USB Analyzer.

I have the following setup:

iPad<---Dock Cable--->[A-to B Adapter]=Powered HUB<===[Total Phase Beagle USB 2.0 Analyzer]<=== Device

I don't see any settings in Settings.

I have a couple of other adapters coming in tomorrow.
