Setting AU Parameter Without Registering Automation

  • Subject: Setting AU Parameter Without Registering Automation

Hello,

I have a situation where I'd like to set a bunch of AU parameters without the changes registering as automation data. Is this possible?

To explain why, I have a randomization unit in a plugin that varies some parameters internally without actually setting them. When a session is saved I may need to 'print' the current randomized state in SaveState() to a preset which would involve properly setting the parameters which in turn could interfere with current automation data.

Other alternatives include storing the extra randomization values or completely over-riding SaveState() both of which I'd rather avoid.

Any tips welcome, thanks,
Stephen
