Large parts of Cocoa (NSMenu, for example) are still implemented with
what used to be Carbon calls. There have been a couple of times where
I've been debugging an exception thrown through a Carbon event loop,
puzzled as to where Carbon is coming from, only to remember that
NSMenu is really a Carbon menu under the hood, so of course it's
running a Carbon event tracking loop.
