Okee Dokee.
Having gone through my extensive collection of virtual instruments, most of the offenders are the more popular instruments from Native Instruments. In fact, from the instruments in Komplete 5, the only one that properly responds to reset is Absynth. Native Instruments B4 II, FM8, Kontakt 3, Akoustik and Elektrik Pianos, Massive, Pro-53, and Reaktor - all fail to properly clear their audio output and simply resume decaying upon being reenabled. IK Multimedia's SampleTank 2.5 also exhibits this problem.
GOOD instruments/manufacturers include Zebra2, Korg Legacy Collection, NI Absynth, Spectrasonics Omnisphere, GeForce, and gsi:MrRay are all behaving wonderfully.
