funny. i was about to post/ask the same question.
i have put AUGraphStart inside a background thread and it all "seems" to work. of coarse, i don't have the graph running but can have the ui loading and responding in the main thread. so, the question i guess is....
is it safe to call AUGraphStart in a background thread?
