Wrong kMDItemDurationSeconds
Wrong kMDItemDurationSeconds

I have a few MP3 files for which kMDItemDurationSeconds seems to be wrong.
mdls says kMDItemDurationSeconds = 609.6691875 (consequently, Finder's Info about the file says "Duration: 10:10") -- but in iTunes the files is 1 hour and 10 minutes long!
Is there any way I can correct kMDItemDurationSeconds for such files?
I am asking, because I've got a tool (I don't have the source) that seems to depend on the correct value of kMDItemDurationSeconds, otherwise it produces output that is too short.
I am looking for command line tools that could correct kMDItemDurationSeconds's value (or GUI tools that can process a large number of MP3 files).
I would also be willing to program a tool for that task, if it can be done in a few hours.
Any kinds of hints, insights, pointers, suggestions, etc., will be highly appreciated.
Best regards,
Gabriel.
