iPhone simulator AudioUnits PerformThru() buffer size of 1 sample

  • Subject: iPhone simulator AudioUnits PerformThru() buffer size of 1 sample

I'm trying to debug my audio apps on the simulator (while waiting for the iPad) and am getting buffer sizes of 1 sample, when I am asking for say .005 seconds. On the iPhone, I get typically 256 samples. Changing the request to 1.00s still gives me 1 or 2 sample buffers. I can't debug at this granularity since the executing code takes too long.

Oddly, I have several different functions, and a few actually are fine on the simulator, but I can't figure out what I am doing differently, all of the audio units setup stuff seems identical.

Has anyone ever seen this before?

Thanks
Andrew Smith
