It's legal but very few hosts do it in my experience which is a shame
(well, 12 months ago there weren't many). AULab does and I've seen
hosts that listen for changes but only update the parameter name and
not the value range (or the other way round) etc. Maybe things have
improved but I haven't pursued this avenue recently. Would be
encouraging if at least one host performed this kind of thing well.
