AUFormatConverter sampleRate is zero

  • Subject: AUFormatConverter sampleRate is zero

I was getting some bizarre crashes and I eventually traced it to inadvertently setting an AUFormatConverters input and output formats with a sample rate of zero. My main question is, why didn't doing this throw an error? I can't think of any situation where converting from/to a format with sample rate of zero is valid.

If there isn't a good reason for this, could you change it so it does in fact err when setting a format with sample rate of zero?

Thanks.
