VST hosts have had automation a long time.

In Logic, when editing a parameter for mix automation, the actual value of the parameter is shown (Hz, dB, etc). I don't see how your custom UI can affect the automation interface in a DAW.


Am I missing something ? VST has always had the possiblity for the host to get the parameter value in text format (i.e. Hz, dB, etc), besides it is
formatted by the component that has knowledge of the parameter, i.e. the VST plugin. I fail to see an issue here ?
