Using Audio Units to change MIDI timing

  • Subject: Using Audio Units to change MIDI timing

I need to modify the timing of MIDI events sent by a program I'm developing during playback.  I can do that in the program, but it would be interesting to move that code into an AU plugin.

It's not obvious looking at the AU documentation whether the AU gets the entire event, including time, or just the MIDI data.  Maybe I'm missing something obvious, but before I put the time in to write the plugin I'd like to know if it will do what I need.

Thanks for any responses.
