Question about playback of multichannel audio:
I tried verifying if 7.1 audio playback works via iTunes/Quicktime if it has WMA transcoding applied.
Is this true for the regular .WAV format?
There is a lot of discussion on using WMA transcoded 7.1 audio...but doesn't quite talk of other formats that can be played via the regular iTunes/Quicktime.
Is there any special plugin required for the player for something like this to work.
Do WMA transcoded files have some special compression that it lacks or has Vs 7.1 WAV files that I am able to play the files?
Trying to see if the 7.1 game output is working on regular MAC at all.
Any thoughts?
Thanks in advance.
