Subject: Re: Modifying basic AU to create view without NIB?
I'm just getting familiar with Cocoa and Objective-C, and my first desire is
to replace the NIB-loaded view class with a view I create in code. I've
been trying to find a simple example of this, but am having a lot of trouble
doing so.
Obligatory question: why are you avoiding using a nib?
It's because our projects all use our own pre-defined file that specifies the view hierarchy, sizes, positions, and the bitmaps that each view uses (along with some other info). We share the file and bitmaps across versions (AU, VST, RTAS). -Howard
